Maybe it was fate. A kid from Texas, one from Illinois, one
from Kansas and another whose origin remains murky met in
Dallas/Fort Worth and formed a musical alliance after playing in
other bands and through rotating lineups. They began performing
a mix of original and cover material regionally.
Maybe it was dumb luck. Bringing in the influences of the pop
rock of the sixties, the progressive rock of the seventies, the
new wave synth bands of the eighties and, by one member, the
Scandinavian death metal of indeterminate vintage, they began to
create their original material and sound. Maybe it was a little of both. Or maybe neither. Nevertheless, after 3,471 requestS for “Freebird” (and admittedly partially out of jealousy that people were clamoring for Lynyrd Skynyrd songs over their own), they decided to record an album of original material and release it on an unsuspecting public in hopes that someday audiences would drunkenly yell requests for their songs at the local bands of the future. It could happen. Hit List is that album. It showcases the range of cartoon character assassins’ material. We hope you like it. If not, we believe Skynyrd albums are still available for purchase.
